This is my certificate for going to camp.  we stayed at camp for three days two nights. I liked camp a lot.  I really liked the food the most.  I would like to go to camp again.  We saw a ray with a shark tail.  It was electric.

It took me a long time to find out what to put in the boxes.  Next time I will try to think faster.

Next I think I should make my speech longer.  It was tricky to come up with sports you can do in the winter.

It was tricky to paint the sun set.  I was also tricky to cut out the buildings and glue them down.  Next time I should Make more white spaces in the sea.

Over the last few weeks we have been making a toilet paper solar system.  A toilet paper solar system is where you get toilet paper and draw each planet.  The reason we did it on toilet paper is because it told me how far apart the planets were and how big they are.  Then we got into groups.  Then each group chose a planet to paper maché.

  We have also been reading this book called The Green Book. In The Green Book bunches of people were fleeing earth. and the were going to a planet called shine.  It took 4 hours to get to the planet called shine.  On the ship they brought chickens, roosters, and rabbits.  when there ship landed they set up tents.  and in the morning they explored there new planet

We are planning our speeches this year.  We made a speech template for our speech planning.

It was tricky to figure out questions that were multiple fractions.  I got the hang of the unit fractions.  The questions were challenging.

Over the last few weeks at school we have been doing this thing called terrific Tuesday.   

Terrific Tuesday is where after lunch we got to pick a subject I picked science. we have been doing science Experiments like balloon rockets, egg dropping and things like that.  I liked this because it was fun testing out new things and learning how to make things.

We have also been doing S.D.L. which stands for self directed learning.  We get given a slide show with tasks on it and we have to finish them and once we do we go on this web site called Mathplayground to do basic facts.  I like this kind of learning because we get to do fun things especially in Maths.

We have also been learning how to make agamagraphs where you draw two pictures that are connected to each other for example a tree in Winter and a tree in Autumn.  After you have drawn the two pictures fold and cut them into strips.  Next glue them onto the backing paper that lets    

you see two pictures depending on which way you are looking.  It was awesome seeing it fully finished.

over the last few terms we have been making grid value port rates

grid value port rate is a picture that you make square by square until you make what you want.  My favourite part was drawing my face. My trickiest part was shading. To make light you put patterns together.  and to make dark you put patterns close together.

What I have been doing over the last few weeks. today we have been doing rugby. rugby is a sport that the all-blacks play.  we also have this thing called terrific Tuesday which is is were you pick a subject and I picked science last time we made balloon rockets it was hard to find a place to put the string and the balloon rocket.

I was learning how to use persuasive techniques.  What was the task? To create a script and make a  complete ad.  what are the persuasive techniques we learnt about? slogan, band wagon, reputation, expert opinion, testimonial, emotional appeal.  Our slogan was free cheap. and we also used expert opinion our expert was artemas.

Over the last few weeks weeks we did an Easter hunt and it was hard and tricky.  The rules were that we had to walk and we couldn't move the eggs  but they weren't actually proper chocolate eggs they were card board with a letter or a number on the back of them  and the front of them were gold and shiny so you could see them pretty easily in the sun.

We have also been working on this art called pixel art its where you make a Google sheet turn the rectangles into squares and colour them into what ever colour you want but you have to pick some thing you want to make first and it looks really cool when you're finished.  

we are making pixel art because it is similar to our faces the photo is black and white and we have drawn a grid on them an then got another piece of paper and drew another grid on that piece as well and then started copying our faces an the other piece of paper   

 

I am learning to find bias in text

Reflection
My class and I have been looking for bias in text.  Next time I will read more of the whale rider so I can under stand bias better.  The first time it was tricky but I got the hang of it in the end.

I am learning To make a Venn Diagram.  I  found it hard to upload it. I tried to think of a way but I got stuck so I asked for help.  Next time I will Remember how to upload it because I put it in my note book.

At first I was nervous and then when we were half way through I was  a bit more confident.

It was tricky remembering the lines to mediate.  Next time I will memorise them more.  I enjoy helping people to sort out their problems.

The most popular position in room 20 is goalie and the second  favourite  is striker.  Left defence and right defence are equal tied.   I was learning how to use the statistical inquiry cycle. 

Reflection

It was tricky to turn my calculations into a graph.  I enjoyed learning this new skill so in future it will be easier for me.  Next time I will pick a sport with more positions.
