I am learning to recognise fractions of shapes and groups.

I found it tricky to know which number is the numerator

and which is the denominator.

I am proud I can find half of a shape.

Next I can learn how to find a fraction of a number.

What is a contents page?

1.   It tells you what you can find out in the book.

Where is the index page?

2.   It is at the back of the book.

What is the glossary?

3.   The glossary tells you the meanings of some words in the back of the book.

Why are there more photographs then drawings?

4.   It's a non-fiction book and is real.

Why are some pictures labelled?

5.   They have labels to explain the diagram.

My reflection:

I found it tricky to find the glossary.

I'm proud that I found the glossary.

Next I will know where to go to find the meanings of some words in the non-fiction book.
